Release notes
A short summary of what was added in each version. Newest first. Currently running 2.7-2026-10-13.
Version 2.7
13 October 2026- In the care profile you can now record the severity in four levels: mild, moderate, severe and very severe. The levels come from the British NICE guideline and each has a short description, so you can choose without a rating by a doctor. It is optional and appears in the care profile and in the report for medical appointments.
- If you care for someone else and choose “severe” or “very severe” when creating the care circle, setup suggests the communication board right away.
- In Knowledge, “What is ME/CFS?” now describes the four severity levels.
- If you have chosen a NICE severity level, setup and the settings show a suggestion above the switches for which features fit this level. One tap applies it. You decide what you actually use.
- weforme is now also available in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, in the app and on the website. That makes ten languages. You can switch the language at the bottom of every page.
- The privacy policy and the disclaimer are also available in the three new languages. The German version remains the legally binding one.
- Places that used to be German in every language are now translated: page titles, the error page, the levels from “very bad” to “very good” in the diary, the tasks in the support circle, the CSV export, the imprint and the emails for confirming your address and resetting your password.
- The website has its own address for each language, for example weforme.eu/de or weforme.eu/en. The folder is also there in all ten languages, to view and as a PDF.
- Translations are provided only to make the app and website easier to use. Only the German version is legally binding, including technical terms. Every translated page now says so.
- The preset diary categories show their own symbol in every language, not only in German.
Version 2.6
12 October 2026- If you sign up now, you set up weforme in three short steps: who you use the app for, which features you want to see and where things are. That way the app does not start with everything at once. Every step can be skipped.
- You can go through the setup again at any time: in your profile under account settings, right below the features.
- If you switch off the support circle in the features, it no longer appears at the top either.
- In the pacing analysis, the section with the notes is now called “What the guidelines say about pacing”. The sentences reflect what the sources say and are not advice from the app. Instead of “Estimated personal limit” it now says “What stands out in your data”: the value describes your entries and is not a target.
- All areas now work the same way: the selection buttons are at the top, the content below. This applies to Home, Diary, Pacing, Communication and Profile.
- “Today’s state” is now called “Wellbeing & symptoms” everywhere. The symptom list is open right away, so you can see what there is to choose.
- The diary has two new tabs: “Positive moment” and “Overview”. The overview shows each day with wellbeing & symptoms, entries and positive moments together. “New entry” now only lists today’s entries.
- Each diary entry is shown in three lines: symbol with date and time, then the selection, then edit and delete.
- The home page has Note board, Tasks in the care circle, Tasks in the support circle and Knowledge at the top. Top left is the green W of weforme; the house is only at the bottom for Home.
- In the profile you choose Care profile, Medication log or Settings at the top. The second bar with Profile, Care circle and Support circle is gone, those three are already at the top.
- Tasks in the support circle can be shared as a ready-made message, for example by SMS or WhatsApp. weforme does not access your contacts for this.
- Pacing: a short text explains what the timer is for. The analysis shows cycles per day instead of the number of days, you can pick a single day, and the sources can be expanded and clicked.
- Communication: “Hot” now sits next to “Cold”, “Too loud” is gone because “Quiet please” says the same. Drink, Eat and Toilet are redrawn.
- The emergency plan now sits at the far right at the top as a red cross, so you find it without searching.
- The home page now shows only the name, without a symbol in front.
- “Everyday help” is now called “Tasks in the support circle”. You cannot order help through weforme; these are your own tasks for people around you.
- Inviting now clearly says “Invite to the care circle” and “Invite to the support circle”.
- For food you can enter grams with up to two decimal places, for example 12.5 g. When editing a food entry, the field used to say ml instead of grams, and the amount was then missing from the daily total. This is fixed, and affected entries have been corrected.
- Communication: hand, call for help (phone with a red cross), wait (with hourglass), pillow, sit up, lie down, fresh air, shortness of breath and washing are newly drawn. The faces for feelings and pain are more detailed, and the star for pain is even.
- The profile sheet is now called care profile and is no longer a separate place. In the profile you always land on the care profile: if it is still empty, you fill it in once. After that you see it at a glance, can print it and adjust it any time via Edit.
- Everywhere the heading comes first, with the selection buttons below it. This now also applies to Communication, Start and Profile.
- The analysis has jump buttons at the top to the daily overview, wellbeing, the report for medical appointments and export. The four tiles with tendencies and the count of entries by category are gone.
- Wellbeing appears in the analysis as a curve: mental, physical, mood, sleep and rest day by day. The table with symptoms and notes can be expanded below it.
- The report for medical appointments now contains the care profile, wellbeing over time, the medication log with all intake in the period and a summary of the diary. All details are in the CSV export, and the report says where.
- The medication export is now called medication log and contains the intake from the diary. Until now this file stayed empty, ever since intake has been recorded in the diary.
- Selection fields open in the app's style instead of the phone's light menu. Date and time no longer stick out over the edge on the phone.
Version 2.5.2
9 October 2026- The diary has three tabs at the top: New entry, Today’s state and Settings. Only one part is shown at a time, so there is less scrolling.
- You now manage categories, the terms for each category and the symptom list in the diary’s Settings tab.
- The Positive moment button below the categories is gone. You still record positive moments further down in the New entry tab.
- For medication it now says taken or not taken instead of given or refused. That also fits when someone takes their medication themselves. Earlier entries show the new words.
- The strain question now simply reads: How much strain was it?
- The profile starts with two buttons, Care profile and Account settings. The content only comes after that, which saves scrolling. The medication log and the profile sheet to print are now in the care profile.
- The start page begins directly with the note board.
- In the support circle, inviting is now at the very top.
- The two task boards now have clear names: “Tasks in the care circle” for the carers among themselves, “Tasks in the support circle” for helpers from your surroundings.
- With “Add to calendar” you can take appointments from the tasks in the support circle into your own calendar as a file. The file contains only the kind of task and the time.
Version 2.5.1
30 September 2026- A task due date could not be typed: writing “20.08.2026” with dots moved the field on with every dot, the year ended up as 0006, and the task could not be created. You can now type the date the way you write it, and the small calendar still works.
Version 2.5
15 September 2026- New in the diary under Care: “Wound care and dressing change”, with the spots tailbone and sacrum, heel, hip and another spot. What exactly was done goes into the note. Existing care circles get the terms automatically.
- Times were two hours off: a crash recorded at 10:25 appeared as 08:25 in the app. It was always stored correctly, only the display used the server's time zone. The note board, the report and the support circle were affected too, all are corrected.
- For medication you can now tick several at once. Each becomes an entry of its own with the same time, so you no longer make six entries in a row.
- Tasks can repeat: daily, weekly or monthly. Ticking one off creates the next. For tasks around medication there is deliberately no repeat, weforme does not remind about medication.
- When creating a task the field suggests what you entered before.
- New in the symptom list: vomiting and diarrhoea.
- The tables in the review now show that you can scroll inside them, with a visible bar and a soft edge.
Version 2.4.6
22 August 2026- You can now put weforme on your phone like an app, on iOS and Android. It then starts in its own window without an address bar. You find the instructions in your profile under “Put the app on your phone”. On the iPhone this is also what makes task notifications arrive at all.
- When creating an account, the password field now shows which requirements are met and which are still missing, while you type. Before, the notice only appeared after submitting, at the very top of the form and therefore off-screen on a phone: you tapped “Create account”, seemingly nothing happened, and no mail arrived. The same list is there when resetting your password.
- The guide is reachable without signing in and linked from the login page, the registration and the footer. It is also there as a PDF to print or pass on.
Version 2.4.5
9 August 2026- A new care circle is now set up in the language selected at the time: categories, terms and symptoms then appear in Polish, Hungarian, French and so on instead of German. Existing circles stay as they are, your own names are never overwritten.
- The symptom list in today's state stays folded until something is ticked. The header line says how many symptoms are ticked today.
Version 2.4.4
8 August 2026- The state overview can be narrowed with a from/to period. What you choose also applies to the printout and the export.
- Under the day overview and under the state there is now a button on the left to save as CSV and the print button on the right. The export contains exactly the chosen day or the chosen period.
- Search and filter is split into two areas: “Search the day overview” with category, term and medication, and “Search the state” with the symptoms. That way you can see, for example, on which days a certain symptom was there.
Version 2.4.3
7 August 2026- The button under the state table now reliably prints the state with the symptoms. On a phone it takes longer from tapping to the actual print, and in that time the app had already forgotten the choice and taken the day overview.
Version 2.4.2
7 August 2026- Today's state now has a symptom list to tick, with a level from -- to ++ if you want. The list belongs to your care circle: under “Symptom list” in the diary you add what occurs with you and hide what you do not need. The free field stays for everything else.
- You can now record a day with symptoms alone, without rating the three areas.
- The ticked symptoms appear in the state overview, in the report and in the CSV export.
Version 2.4.1
7 August 2026- When printing, only the day overview goes on paper again, even when you print from your browser's menu. The button under each table prints that table specifically, day overview or state.
- If a voice note in the feedback cannot be turned into text, it now says why: too long, too quiet, took too long. And where your browser cannot record at all, we say so instead of just leaving the button out.
Version 2.4
6 August 2026- Today's state now has a free field for the day's symptoms, one line per symptom.
- New in the review: an overview of the state day by day, with sleep, rest phases, symptoms and note. It prints or saves as a PDF just like the day overview, with the date and the name in the file name.
- In the diary, previous days now show only the date and the word “Diary”. Opened up, everything is there as before.
- The terms are now called “Terms for this category”, so it is clearer what they refer to.
Version 2.3.3
3 August 2026- In your profile the tick for the release e-mail now visibly stays ticked after saving, and below it a line says in words whether the e-mail is on or off.
Version 2.3.2
3 August 2026- Under toilet the terms are now consistently called “urine” and “stool”, and both appear under toilet visit as well as under pad. Your existing entries stay and remain attached to the matching term.
- “Catheter” is now “catheter care”, and “stoma care” has been added. “Menstruation” comes before them.
- When you print the daily overview or save it as a PDF, the browser now suggests a meaningful file name: date, name and “daily overview”.
Version 2.3.1
1 August 2026- In a diary entry the terms are now shown openly and you can tick several of them. Each one becomes an entry of its own, so the review counts urine and stool separately even when both happened in one visit.
- New among the terms: urine, stool and menstruation.
- Eating and drinking are now two separate categories. For food you enter the amount in grams, for drinks in millilitres as before, both with a daily total.
- The categories carry the same picture symbols as the communication board.
- Medication and supplements are kept apart: in the medication log and in the selection in the diary.
- You can tap phone numbers in the emergency plan and call straight away.
Version 2.3
1 August 2026- New: the communication board. A calm board of picture symbols for anyone who finds talking too tiring. Hold up the board, tap, done: the tap goes straight into the diary, with the time and the category. You decide yourselves which symbols appear. You will find it in the menu at the bottom.
Version 2.2.2
1 August 2026- New: search and filter in the review. Show yourself particular topics, for example every time someone drank or when a certain medication was given. The list of results can be printed or saved as a PDF.
- New: the task board. Share out tasks in the care circle and tick them off. If you like, you can have a notification sent as soon as something has been assigned to you; that is off by default, and for tasks involving medication there is deliberately never one.
- New: if you like, we send you a short email when there is a new version, with what has improved. You set that in your profile.
- In the day overview the header row and the time column stay in place while you scroll, and you can pick the day directly.
- In the diary the categories appear as equally sized tiles with the same symbols as in an entry, with “Other” always at the end. Today's entries are open, older days unfold when you tap them.
- Instead of “(optional)” on every field, only the required fields now carry an asterisk.
- The menu at the bottom is reordered: Start, Diary, Pacing, Medication log and Report. What you need every day is now within thumb's reach.
- You reach your profile and the care circle through the round symbols at the top right, and the emergency cross stays visible next to them.
Version 2.2.1
31 July 2026- Diary entries are now ordered by the time you entered. If you add something later, it appears at the right point of the day.
- For medication you now choose the medication first and then whether it was given or refused.
- Alongside sleep quality at night you can now note the quality of rest periods during the day. It appears in the report, in the review and in the CSV export.
- New among the terms: environmental hygiene, with changing bed linen, mopping the floor and airing. This applies to newly created care circles.
- In the knowledge library, drinking now comes first under eating and drinking, plus small wording improvements.
- The review now has a button for the full review as a single CSV file, with the individual areas still listed below.
- The medication page is now called the medication log: it lists what should be taken, while the actual intake is still documented in the diary.
Version 2.2
31 July 2026- The review now starts with a day overview as a table: one row per entry by time, with separate columns for toilet, food and drink, and medication. A button prints exactly that day or saves it as a PDF.
- For a diary entry in the food and drink category you can note the amount you drank in millilitres. The diary then shows the total for the day.
- In the report for doctor's appointments the diary is now a table per day as well, instead of a long list.
- The text field in a diary entry is now called note instead of what happened.
Version 2.1
30 July 2026- Notes on the note board can now be edited, including ones already marked done. An edited note is labelled as edited.
- The diary is grouped by day: the most recent day is open, older days are collapsed and show only the date and the number of entries. That keeps the list clear even with many entries.
Version 2.0
28 July 2026- The app is now called weforme. The name and the symbol have been changed everywhere; the features and your data stay exactly as they were. Because the name is a big change, the version jumps to 2.0.
- System emails now come from weforme as well, and the support address is weforme@degeler.consulting.
- The imprint, disclaimer and privacy policy carry the new name and state the app's new address: weforme.app. The website with the overview is at weforme.eu.
- The privacy policy is laid out more clearly, with a table of contents and clearly separated sections. It also describes email sending more precisely now: our sending provider carries service emails about your account, that is confirmation, password and important notices about the app.
- When we change the privacy policy in substance, we will ask for your consent directly in the app from now on: you see in short bullet points what has changed and can accept the new version. Without consent you cannot continue, but your account and your entries remain untouched.
Version 1.1
22 July 2026- The emergency plan is now available at any time: the emergency symbol at the top of the bar takes you straight to the emergency plan and the emergency contacts, without having to look for them in the care profile.
- The house symbol at the top of the bar now leads to the public start page with the overview of what weforme can do.
- These release notes are now available in all seven languages as well.
- The privacy policy has been updated: it now describes the voice note in the feedback, the cookie for your language choice, and that your feedback is kept together with its processing status, so you can see under “My feedback” what came of it.
Version 1.0
22 July 2026- weforme is now available in seven languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Romanian, Hungarian and Polish. You can switch the language at the bottom of every page.
- New “My feedback” page: there you can see everything you have reported to us and what came of it (open, seen or done).
- When you give feedback you can now also record a voice note. It is turned into text automatically, and you can adjust that text before sending it.
- The disclaimer and the privacy policy are now available in all languages too. The German version stays legally binding, the translations are there for illustration.
Version 0.6.1
18 July 2026- In the diary, every entry now carries a small symbol matching its category, so entries are quicker to tell apart.
- New diary category “Mobility” with suggested terms (positioning and repositioning, transfer, movement and mobilisation).
Version 0.6
18 July 2026- The time on new diary entries is now correct. Before, it was two hours off.
- A diary entry can now be saved without any text, for example with just a category, a term and a time.
- After you change an entry you now get a confirmation, and you close the editing with “Close”.
- Positive moments can now be entered with a freely chosen date, not just for today.
- The report for doctor's appointments now sorts the diary entries strictly by date and time.
- Pacing now sits in the middle of the bottom navigation bar, easy to reach.
- A small renaming in the diary: “Assisting with eating” and “Assisting with drinking” are now simply called “Eating” and “Drinking”.
Version 0.5.4
15 July 2026- New profile sheet: the most important things from the care profile on one page, to print out or hand to new carers, without burdening the person concerned with questions.
- New in the care profile: “Known triggers and what helps”, “Emergency contacts and responsibility” (who is reachable in an emergency, which doctor knows the situation) and a field “About the person”. The emergency contacts are also shown during a crash.
- Three new topics in the knowledge library: mobility and positioning, safety and infection protection, and roles in family and partnership.
Version 0.5.3
15 July 2026- The medication overview is now the plan: it shows which medications and supplements should be taken. You record the actual intake in the diary, where you choose the medication and the time.
- On the home page, only the name of the person being cared for is shown at the top. Who belongs to the care circle is something you manage through the circles at the top right.
- The card on the home page is now called “Today”, with the button “Write a diary entry”, and it takes you straight to the diary.
Version 0.5.2
15 July 2026- Profile, care circle and support circle can be reached directly at the top as three circles.
- The menu item at the bottom right now leads to the review. You reach the profile at the top right.
- The symbol at the top left (to the home page) is now a house, so it can no longer be mixed up with the profile symbol.
- The German name of the support circle is now gender-neutral. The care circle and the support circle have both been given a short explanation of who has access there.
- The tabs in the profile area (profile, care circle, support circle, review) now have symbols.
- For medications and supplements there is now a note field for personal tolerance or reaction.
- Pacing: a note that in case of a worsening you should shield stimuli and give plenty of rest. Instead of “real limit” it now says “pattern”, because the real limit is not visible.
- In the diary, a line visibly separates the entries from the management area (categories and terms).
- Source citations are now consistently in APA7 format.
Version 0.5
8 July 2026- Every menu item now has its own symbol (an hourglass for Pacing, paper and pen for the diary, a bottle for medication and more), so the navigation is clearer at a glance.
Version 0.4
8 July 2026- Supplements can now be documented alongside medications.
- In a diary entry you can pick a medication from the list. The name and dose are recorded exactly as they were at that moment, so later changes do not distort old entries.
- New feature switch in the profile: everyone hides the features they do not need for themselves, so the app stays clear.
- The knowledge library has been reworked and expanded (among other things new topics “What is ME/CFS?” and “Toilet, excretion and menstruation”, and simpler language).
- “Daily condition” is now called “today's state”.
Version 0.3
7 July 2026- Standardised terms in the diary (e.g. Care → Body hygiene → Left armpit), matching the chosen category, so entries are comparable.
- Diary entries, medications and intake times can be edited and deleted afterwards.
- Instead of school grades there are now clear symbol scales (from -- to ++) for how someone is doing, and three levels for pacing.
- Feedback right inside the app: select text and comment on it, or use the feedback button at the edge of the screen.
Version 0.2
4 July 2026- A print-friendly report for doctor's appointments and a CSV export of your own data.
- Knowledge library with briefly summarised notes from the ME/CFS guidelines.
- A note board for handovers and a place for small positive moments.
- You can delete your account and your care circle yourself at any time.
Version 0.1
2 July 2026- First version: a shared care circle, a diary with your own categories, a pacing timer with review, crash documentation with an emergency plan, a medication list with an intake log, and a care profile.
