Cooperation, research and feedback
weforme helps people with ME/CFS and their relatives organise everyday life with the illness together, built to be low-stimulus and not yet a medical device. Beyond the app, we are looking for people and organisations who want to contribute: in research, in testing with affected people, and with honest feedback from everyday life.
Free forever
weforme is and stays free. The app is meant as support, not as a business: no costs for affected people and carers, no ads, no selling of data. Anyone is free to create an account.
Cooperation with science
Connecting with researchers and clinics working on ME/CFS matters to us. If you work in the field or can make connections, we would love to hear from you. As soon as there are formal partnerships, we will name them here.
Usability tests with affected people
We offer moderated usability tests: affected people and relatives use the app and think aloud, so we can see where people really get stuck in everyday life. This works well as a single test day. Even a small group reveals most of the weak points.
Feedback from everyday use
What helps us most is feedback from people who really use the app in everyday life, affected people and relatives alike. weforme is available in ten languages, and feedback can be given directly in the app. Feel free to share the app in your network.
What comes next
For now we run weforme as a non-commercial project, free for affected people. It is not yet a medical device. But that is the path we want to take: we are looking for doctors and contacts in science who can guide and support us professionally, so that weforme can become an approved medical device. That step comes with real costs, and we are looking for partners to help make a legal review and the next steps possible. Until then, the app stays what it is today: a form of support that documents and describes, one that does not warn and does not advise.
Professional basis and data protection
The knowledge content consists of editorially condensed summaries of published guidelines, each with a source reference and without any medical claim of its own. All care data are health data (Art. 9 GDPR) and are stored encrypted on a dedicated server in the EU: no ads, no tracking, no sharing, no repurposing.
